DR. SHEVIN D. POLLYDORE

Education and Training
Dr. Pollydore earned his BA in French Civilization from Princeton University in 1990 and an MD from Howard University College of Medicine in Washington DC in 1994. He completed his internship at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center (which is affiliated with the prestigious John’s Hopkins Medical Center), and his residency at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York. In addition, Dr. Pollydore completed an Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Hughston Sports Medicine Clinic in 1999, under the tutelage of the late Dr. Jack Hughston who is considered worldwide as the “father” of Sports Medicine. He served as Team Physician for several High School/College teams in Georgia, and as Team Physician for the USA Amateur Boxing in Columbus, Georgia, the Columbus Redstix professional baseball team, and the Columbus Cottonmouths professional hockey team. Dr. Pollydore worked at Peachtree Orthopaedic Clinic from 1999 to 2022 and while there he got to participate in the care of professional athletes such as the Atlanta Braves, Hawks, and Falcons. Dr. Pollydore is also Board Certified in Pain Management and is the Past President of the Pain Management Society.
